I love this place so much. They are so kind and they are happy to explain things if you have any questions (I have had Dentists from other practices get cross with me for asking questions in the past). All of their staff is friendly and skilled, they do an excellent job in regards to teeth cleaning because they're the only dentist's office that I never leave with a sore mouth afterwards. I've dealt with a lot of health issues in the past two years and they have been really kind about working with me through them. I'm out for upcoming surgery and they were able to work me in to get my crown done before the procedure. I see Dr Tikvart and he's really awesome. But the other doctors there are also great; I had one notice I had a cavity and popped in to make sure it was caught even though I wasn't her patient. Due to health issues, I have had to deal with a lot of unpleasant doctors offices in the past two years, so it's always a relief to work with them and be treated well.

I had been avoiding dentists for many years but had gone to Peak City Dental a few times for cleanings. The hygienist were always calming and gentle - explaining everything as they worked. I’ve had horrible dental anxiety, and I’ve been paying for nitrous oxide for cleanings for the last 30 years and they were able to get me past that! I still avoided the dentist because of true dental anxiety and then woke up with a horrific toothache called them at 8:00 and they had me in by 8:30. The dentist was wonderful and it was just such a different experience than I was used to. Wanted to write this review so anyone with dental anxiety like me would know Peak City is a unique experience. The building itself is like walking into an Airbnb and you feel calm as soon as you go in. Front desk staff is friendly and knowledgeable and it’s been the same staff since my husband and I started going several years ago which is a real plus- you feel like you know them and they know you which adds to the warm atmosphere . My husband who I had to always drag screaming and kicking to the dentist now happily makes his appointments for three cleanings a year (periodontal disease ) The dental care is exceptional. Since my husband and I had been avoiding the dentist for a long time we both had some real dental work to do. What we found different than any other dentist office we’ve encountered is they don’t just tell you what to do. They are highly skilled but approachable so you are comfortable asking questions and they listen to your concerns .The doctors explain to you what the issue is and if there are different treatment options and they are transparent on costs. I’ve had crowns done and they’ve even made it right in the office so it’s all one visit. Everything is so high-tech. If you had told me four years ago, that I would ever walk into a dental office happy and walk out even happier I would say it was impossible. But Peak City Dental has definitely been a plus in my life and my husband’s as we finally decide to take care of our teeth! We have family members going now too, and they’ve expressed the same thing. I’ve told many friends about the office and after yesterday‘s visit I realized I should write a review and share this with others. I recommend them highly and for those with dental anxiety please give them a try. You’ll be so pleasantly surprised.!

Another great visit with Peak City Family Dentistry. Wednesday night a very old crown came loose and I needed a quick appointment to have my exposed tooth base checked to see if the crown could be put back in place or if more was required. Teresa responded first thing Thursday morning to the voicemail I left and was able to move two cleaning appointments the following week to Thursday and check the exposed tooth on Thursday afternoon. The staff and team at Peak City are highly organized and patient-centered. The dentists and hygienists are top-notch professionals who really do care. I always recommend recommend this office when asked.

I am pretty scared of the dentist after a terrible experience 10 years ago, so I put off a needed crown for years. I was told to go to Dr. Vaiou because she uses a special numbing instrument most dentists don’t. It’s a game changer! There was zero pain with the numbing or drilling, and the crown is perfect. I watched tv the whole time and barely paid attention to what was going on. What a wonderful practice!

Having been in the dental field for 30+ years and moving down here a few years ago I was continuing to go to CT for my dentistry. Then I developed a dental issue (cavity) and decided it was time to search a dentist out down here in Apex. After much research I called the office of Dr Viau @Peak City Family Dentistry. It was such a pleasant and wonderful experience if that is at all possible. The office is a beautiful converted older home and the staff from the moment I walked in the door could not have been nicer. They have many payment options for those uninsured which makes life so much easier. I went in with an issue, they addressed the issue and repaired it on the spot. Dr V uses a wand for the anesthetic which made it quite easy and pain free. Her dental assistant was so reassuring and explained everything that they were doing. I booked my next appointment with the hygienist…and look forward to meeting her…. this office was a no pressure environment. I’m so happy to have found the perfect fit just miles from my home. Today I was up in a tree hanging hammocks for mine and the neighborhood kids. The new and very large hammer drill that we were using to drill through the trees kicked back and the handle caught me in the face loosening one of my teeth with a possible fracture. Today finally I was able to get it permanently fixed and they were so compassionate! They made sure I couldn’t feel anything and that I was comfortable. This was my second visit to Peak City Dentistry. Dr. Viau and her staff are always lovely and professional. You can tell that each team member holds themselves to a high standard and they truly enjoy their work. I drive over an hour to visit this office. During my initial visit they laid out a step by step treatment plan to help me achieve my goals. With my insurance, it was surprisingly affordable. During treatment, they let you select a show or music to listen to which is a nice touch. Really superior service here compared to other dental offices I’ve visited. Regarding COVID precautions, They ask customers to wear a mask when entering and exiting the office and to text upon arrival for entry approval. They take your temp and have sanitizer available. Employees are also wearing masks. You must sign a document indicating that you or anyone your in close contact with has not been diagnosed or experienced symptoms of COVID or has pending COVID test results. When filling out forms they keep track of clean and dirty pens which I love because most places, even other doctor’s offices just put them back in the jar (which is insane). There are other precautions as well. I felt comfortable visiting.

I met Dr. Viau in Fayetteville when she was working at Dr. Catlett's office which was within walking distance from my house. They explain all cavities/issues with photos, walk you through your dental plan with priorities, and make sure you know exactly what you will owe for each procedure before you make your appointments. Even beyond all this they will play your preferred music during each appointment and make the entire process easier with great attitudes. I wish all dentists made it this easy and comfortable. I have already recommended them to my friends/family and have every intention to continue going as long as we live in the Triangle area.

I appreciate that they work with you to come up with a care plan and treatment that work for you. When I was 11 years old, I had a traumatic dental experience when I flipped, face first, over the handlebars on my bicycle and broke my jaw. Excruciating emergency room visits and poor bedside manner from oral surgeons set the stage for recurring anxiety anytime I set foot in a dental office. I love this place so much. They are so kind and they are happy to explain things if you have any questions (I have had Dentists from other practices get cross with me for asking questions in the past). All of their staff is friendly and skilled, they do an excellent job in regards to teeth cleaning because they're the only dentist's office that I never leave with a sore mouth afterwards. I've dealt with a lot of health issues in the past two years and they have been really kind about working with me through them. I'm out for upcoming surgery and they were able to work me in to get my crown done before the procedure. I see Dr Tikvart and he's really awesome. But the other doctors there are also great; I had one notice I had a cavity and popped in to make sure it was caught even though I wasn't her patient. Due to health issues, I have had to deal with a lot of unpleasant doctors offices in the past two years, so it's always a relief to work with them and be treated well.

I had been avoiding dentists for many years but had gone to Peak City Dental a few times for cleanings. The hygienist were always calming and gentle - explaining everything as they worked. I’ve had horrible dental anxiety, and I’ve been paying for nitrous oxide for cleanings for the last 30 years and they were able to get me past that! I still avoided the dentist because of true dental anxiety and then woke up with a horrific toothache called them at 8:00 and they had me in by 8:30. The dentist was wonderful and it was just such a different experience than I was used to. Wanted to write this review so anyone with dental anxiety like me would know Peak City is a unique experience. The building itself is like walking into an Airbnb and you feel calm as soon as you go in. Front desk staff is friendly and knowledgeable and it’s been the same staff since my husband and I started going several years ago which is a real plus- you feel like you know them and they know you which adds to the warm atmosphere . My husband who I had to always drag screaming and kicking to the dentist now happily makes his appointments for three cleanings a year (periodontal disease ) The dental care is exceptional. Since my husband and I had been avoiding the dentist for a long time we both had some real dental work to do. What we found different than any other dentist office we’ve encountered is they don’t just tell you what to do. They are highly skilled but approachable so you are comfortable asking questions and they listen to your concerns .The doctors explain to you what the issue is and if there are different treatment options and they are transparent on costs. I’ve had crowns done and they’ve even made it right in the office so it’s all one visit. Everything is so high-tech. If you had told me four years ago, that I would ever walk into a dental office happy and walk out even happier I would say it was impossible. But Peak City Dental has definitely been a plus in my life and my husband’s as we finally decide to take care of our teeth! We have family members going now too, and they’ve expressed the same thing. I’ve told many friends about the office and after yesterday‘s visit I realized I should write a review and share this with others. I recommend them highly and for those with dental anxiety please give them a try. You’ll be so pleasantly surprised.!
Another great visit with Peak City Family Dentistry. Wednesday night a very old crown came loose and I needed a quick appointment to have my exposed tooth base checked to see if the crown could be put back in place or if more was required. Teresa responded first thing Thursday morning to the voicemail I left and was able to move two cleaning appointments the following week to Thursday and check the exposed tooth on Thursday afternoon. The staff and team at Peak City are highly organized and patient-centered. The dentists and hygienists are top-notch professionals who really do care. I always recommend recommend this office when asked.

I am pretty scared of the dentist after a terrible experience 10 years ago, so I put off a needed crown for years. I was told to go to Dr. Vaiou because she uses a special numbing instrument most dentists don’t. It’s a game changer! There was zero pain with the numbing or drilling, and the crown is perfect. I watched tv the whole time and barely paid attention to what was going on. What a wonderful practice!

This dental practice is the best in apex! You feel like family when you walk in- adults and kids. They make my children more comfortable than their pediatric dental practice so we switched for them as well. Not to mention the practice itself is absolutely gorgeous! Highly recommend!!!

This is such a great dental office! The office is immaculate with modern equipment, the administrative staff is welcoming and efficient, and the hygienists and dentists are all excellent. Today was my first cleaning visit with peak city dentistry and I’m beyond happy with this place. They were so apologetic about my implant crown being messed up and couldn’t get it in. Sometimes all it takes is flexibility and understanding that we all make mistakes. Dr. CJ is the best and I’m really glad that my implant surgeon recommend me here.

I’m a nervous dental patient, but I felt very comfortable here. The office is lovely and all the staff were really nice and knowledgeable.
Dr. CJ has the best bed side manner!!! He has a calm and reassuring presence. I know of other dentists that immediately want to drill or add on unnecessary procedures. Dr. CJ practices conservatively, only doing procedures when necessary. He is super knowledgeable and I would trust him with anything.

Shelby and Ashley did a great job with my boys (my eldest loved getting to watch Netflix during his cleaning and my youngest loved the treasure box). My cleaning was performed by Amber and I’ve never learned so much about my teeth/gums - Amber worked really hard to provide solutions for my immediate concerns - the biggest being whitening with extremely sensitive teeth. We also met Dr Payne and she was wonderful! I’ve never seen my boys come out of a cleaning so happy - Peak City goes out of its way to make sure you are comfortable and informed - we are very pleased and we highly recommend Peak City!

Teresa is rude and has always rubbed me the wrong way. 2020: I love going to the dentist because of Dr. Viau, Amy, Erin and all the other staff. Will miss Hannah (good luck on your move)! Shelby, the dental hygienist was extremely attentive and effective toward my very sensitive teeth, which had often been a bit of a nuisance and debilitation. They also have TVs attached to each dental chair so it’s easy to get lost in a show while they work their magic. I can’t overstate how much that tv helps with my nerves. I have terrible teeth. Just turned 40 and have really required significant dental care for the last 20 years. With COVID I did not see a dentist for 2 years, not in my best interest. I was referred to this practice by the oral surgeon who unfortunately had to pull 2 of my teeth. This female run practice is full of amazing staff who really understand that my dental issues are medically based. They even let me leave and come back because I didn’t allow enough time before school pick up! They even have a bar style setup for working or charging your phone. If you are looking for a gentle, kind, and understanding dentist- this is the place.
Dr Viau and her staff (especially Hannah) are incredibly skilled at making their patients feel comfortable, welcomed, and most importantly - pain free! I recently relocated to the area and found Peak City Family Dentistry. The office is adorable! I felt like I was at home, not at a dentist office. The staff were extremely comforting and knowledgeable. My first visit was 1.5 hours long and they were very thorough and took a bunch of pictures and X-rays to monitor each year. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Peak City!!
Peak City Dental is exactly what you want in what could really be an unpleasant experience otherwise. The office is the perfect blend of quaint comfort with state of the art technology. Dr Viau and Payne both are consummate professionals and very good at what they do. My hygienist, Melany, has the perfect demeanor for what she does; Very calming yet efficient and has a gentle touch, which is much appreciated! (I mean having someone poking around in your mouth is kind of a vulnerable situation if you think about it.). We are very pleased that our family found their office — Loyal patients now for sure!

Having been in the dental field for 30+ years and moving down here a few years ago I was continuing to go to CT for my dentistry. Then I developed a dental issue (cavity) and decided it was time to search a dentist out down here in Apex. After much research I called the office of Dr Viau @Peak City Family Dentistry. It was such a pleasant and wonderful experience if that is at all possible. The office is a beautiful converted older home and the staff from the moment I walked in the door could not have been nicer. They have many payment options for those uninsured which makes life so much easier. I went in with an issue, they addressed the issue and repaired it on the spot. Dr V uses a wand for the anesthetic which made it quite easy and pain free. Her dental assistant was so reassuring and explained everything that they were doing. I booked my next appointment with the hygienist…and look forward to meeting her…. this office was a no pressure environment. I’m so happy to have found the perfect fit just miles from my home. Thank you Dr V and staff for making my dental appointment such a pleasant experience. A very satisfied patient!

I was guilty of not visiting a dentist for 21 years! One too many horrible experience at my last dentist had turned me 100% against ever going back. Luckily my wife found Peak City Dentistry and Dr Kelly. My first visit was a breeze and I felt completely at peace and confident. Of course, I had numerous issues and needed work done. Dr Kelly made a game plan with dates for completion of each step. It could have not gone any better. Today (just had a check up and cleaning this morning) I have a healthy mouth!!! I could not be happier and have never been so proud to smile. The entire staff is wonderful and so welcoming. They have literally been a God send for me.

I love this practice so much. Dr. Kelly, Dr. Emily, Mel, and Amy were all so great. Amy especially was so great with my very strong-willed 4-year-old daughter (who has thrown fits at previous dental practices). After our visit at Peak City today, my daughter said “I really like going to the dentist!” We also had fun on Dr. Kelly’s putting green out back after our visit (such a fun touch)! I have always been afraid of going to the dentist, but since I started going to Peak City Family Denistry, my fears have gone. I know I am not going to be in a lot of pain, and every effort will be made to make me comfortable during my procedure. Peak City Family Dentistry is always doing their best even while COVID-19 is going on. Had to have a crown for my chipped tooth and they made the crown there and did not have to wait days. They are great and location is perfect for me, right around the corner and I walk.

I broke my tooth back in March right when covid hit.... they were able to “temporarily “ fix my tooth until the rules lifted and they could really repair the tooth. Today finally I was able to get it permanently fixed and they were so compassionate! They made sure I couldn’t feel anything and that I was comfortable. Also every precaution to make sure I was safe from germs while there. I would recommend them to anyone and I will def be going back! Thank you guys for a great experience! I love going to the dentist because of Dr. Viau, Amy, Erin and all the other staff. Will miss Hannah (good luck on your move)! I go bi-monthly for cleanings and look forward to each one. This was my second visit to Peak City Dentistry. Dr. Viau and her staff are always lovely and professional. You can tell that each team member holds themselves to a high standard and they truly enjoy their work. I drive over an hour to visit this office. During my initial visit they laid out a step by step treatment plan to help me achieve my goals. With my insurance, it was surprisingly affordable. During treatment, they let you select a show or music to listen to which is a nice touch. Really superior service here compared to other dental offices I’ve visited. Regarding COVID precautions, They ask customers to wear a mask when entering and exiting the office and to text upon arrival for entry approval. They take your temp and have sanitizer available. Employees are also wearing masks. You must sign a document indicating that you or anyone your in close contact with has not been diagnosed or experienced symptoms of COVID or has pending COVID test results. When filling out forms they keep track of clean and dirty pens which I love because most places, even other doctor’s offices just put them back in the jar (which is insane). There are other precautions as well. I felt comfortable visiting.

I love Peak City Dentistry! So much so that I drive 3.5 hours to get there when needed. Dr.V invests in the latest and greatest technology and this makes a true impact on the overall experience. I have been coming to Peak City Family dentistry for the past two years for orthodontics (Invisalign) and general dentistry. I cannot recommend this place enough. Everyone at this practice knows you by name and greets you when you walk in. They have the latest and greatest technology for their equipment. No long waits, no tedious paperwork. Dr. V is also just amazing. She is super skilled and I have never felt more comfortable during all of my procedures!

Finally!! After five years of living in the Apex area I finally found a good dentist. The staff is amazing they are honest. Somehow my son cavities had 4 cavities at our previous dentist but only two here. The provide good service without trying to rob you.
This is the best, most professional office with a heart! I always feel so taken care of, from the reception when I walk through the door to my time in the chair I know that I am in the best hands. I cannot recommend them enough!!

The ladies at Peak City Family Dentistry are the best and make me love the dentist! I've been going here since they opened (and the owner of the previous practice), and I never want to switch dentists. They genuinely care about you and always make you feel welcome. I moved to Wilmington (2.5 hours away) 2 years ago for college, and I will always drive to Apex for my cleaning with PCFD!

I have been coming to Dr V for about 2 and a half years now. She is an amazing dentist and a perfectionist. Her staff is awesome and professional. If there was a 6th Star she would get it. She has addressed all of my dental work systematically and with care. If you are new to the area like I was in 2011. Call Peak City Dentistry and Dr Kelly Viau! She is a Gem.

I met Dr. Viau in Fayetteville when she was working at Dr. Catlett's office which was within walking distance from my house. I am not sure exactly how many years it has been since I have been her patient; ten years or so. I still live in Fayetteville and drive a hour and a half for my appointments. I actually look forward to going and seeing everyone. We all are very lucky to have such a wonderful person, much less the greatest Dentist take care of us. I will continue to drive to Apex as long as Dr. Viau is there.

They explain all cavities/issues with photos, walk you through your dental plan with priorities, and make sure you know exactly what you will owe for each procedure before you make your appointments. Even beyond all this they will play your preferred music during each appointment and make the entire process easier with great attitudes. I wish all dentists made it this easy and comfortable. I have already recommended them to my friends/family and have every intention to continue going as long as we live in the Triangle area.

Great experience, professional, and gentle
The dentist and staff are friendly, and helpful. They are also knowledgeable, thorough, and skilled. They have done work with such skill that it improves on another dentist work. I appreciate that they work with you to come up with a care plan and treatment that work for you. They listen to your thoughts, desires, and concerns, and try to come up with solutions that will work for you. They are all great with kids. I have to take my daughter to appointments, and no one in the office is put off by a very active toddler. On the contrary they accommodate us and help to make the appointment go smoothly. Great practice, one I am glad we found!

As a dental sales professional, I am very selective as to who I am willing to refer my family and friends to for their dental care. I have been very impressed with Dr. Viau since starting to work with her back in December of 2013 as her Endodontic system representative. Her eagerness to have the latest in technology to care for her patients led me to ask her to see my wife as a patient. While my wife had been experiencing some symptoms that another doctor could not diagnose, Dr. Viau was able to find the cause of the problem quickly and create a treatment plan that will take care of my wife's discomfort. There aren't enough positive adjectives to describe the quality and attentiveness my daughter and I have received from Dr. Kelly Viau's practice. If you are looking for a dentist you can trust and feel secure with, she's the one. When I was 11 years old, I had a traumatic dental experience when I flipped, face first, over the handlebars on my bicycle and broke my jaw. Excruciating emergency room visits and poor bedside manner from oral surgeons set the stage for recurring anxiety anytime I set foot in a dental office. During my first visit with Dr. Viau, she listened carefully to my concerns, reassured me, and took her time planning my oral care over the following months. Anytime my anxiety took over, she would stop any procedure, talk to me, and continue when I was ready. Her techniques worked so well, that after just a few visits, I no longer experienced any anxiety. She and her team were gentle and friendly and they took the time to answer my questions intelligently. When my daughter, Isabel, started seeing Dr. Viau's team, she was 8 years old. She went back for her cleanings alone and always came out smiling and happy. She is now 10 years old, she independently cares for her teeth, and she looks forward to having her teeth cleaned!

We were in town visiting family when my 12 year old daughter complained of tooth pain. We couldn't wait until we returned home to see her regular dentist, so we found Dr. Viau. It was after hours, but she met us at her office to look at my daughter's teeth. She is AMAZING! I was concerned at first because she isn't a "pediatric" dentist, but she was so gentle and knowledgeable, and took plenty of time to make my daughter feel comfortable. It was obvious that she has children herself! Her office is quaint and cozy, yet professional, and located on a cute busy street with restaurants and shops. If I lived in that area, my ENTIRE family would be seeing Dr. Viau for our dental needs!! Make an appointment....you WON'T regret it!
I am normally very nervous and anxious when I go to the dentist. Dr Viau and her staff were so kind and gentle during my visit. My checkup was painless, quick and easy! Also, there was no waiting, I was taken and seen right away. I highly recommend Dr Viau and will go back with ease on my next appointment!
What an amazing experience! It's rare that I would say that about going to the dentist. Dr. Viau made getting a filling an enjoyable experience. My children keep asking me when we get to go back. Not only is Dr. Viau great at her profession, but she has an incredible staff as well. They are fun people to be around. They have created a very friendly environment.

Dr. Viau is the best! Her staff is so friendly and the office has a very warm atmosphere. She takes the time to understand your concerns and comes up with the best solution for your dental needs.
